Chamber Corner
This week, the Chamber would like to remind everyone of upcoming happenings. The State's Entrepreneur Friendly review team will be at the Chamber on July 24. The morning will start with a presentation of Dade's EF committee's work followed by business visits to local entrepreneurs, and ending with a reception to be held at the Chamber of Commerce at 4:00pm to award Dade County the official designation of Entrepreneur Friendly. The Chamber Board would like to invite all local businesses, County and City Officials, political candidates, media, and those who have worked so hard to make this effort a success to the reception to celebrate our community as a place to grow your business.

This year's theme for the annual photography contest is "Scenic Wonders of Dade County". The Chamber has been accepting 8"x10" photos from submitters, and will continue till August 29th. The overall winning photograph this year will be used for the 2009 Trenton Telephone Company phone book. Photos must be taken in Dade County. The photographer must get a release form signed by anyone in the photos. To keep the photos looking uniform for the photo show and announcement of winners to be held in Jenkins Park this Fall, the Chamber will have frames for $1.00. This money is used toward the scholarship given each year. Photographers will also need to sign a release form that the Chamber may use the pictures in brochures and area displays.
